Marina Biograd is located just south of the city of Zadar. Marina Biograd is a really good starting point, should you choose to sail north.  From marina Biograd you will quickly reach the island Pag, with varied scenery and stunning vistas. Slightly further north youäll reach the Kvarner region, which is a relatively unexploreed sailing area. In Kvarner you will find a beautiful archipelago, dominated by the islands of Krk, Cres and Losinj. Lots of cozy communities will be competing for your attention. Kvarner is also one of the few protected areas for bottlenose dolphins, which are often seen swimming playing and racing with bobbing sailboats.
You are not limed to sailing nortbound, however. Not far to the south from Marina Biograd you have some of Croatias most popular national parks Kornati and Krka. The Kornati islands are surrounded by a swarm of smaller, completely bare islands, giving then a rather surreal dimension. For those who enjoy sailing in a pristine archipelago with many natural bays, the Kornati islands will be a dream come true. The islands are tigtly packed and the area is easily sailed.
